The 14-day rule does not apply
Photography sessions are personal services performed at a specifically agreed date and time. Under §18 of the Danish forbrugeraftaleloven (Consumer Contracts Act), services supplied on a date or during a period specifically agreed between consumer and trader are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal. Therefore, once a session date is confirmed, the deposit is not automatically refundable.
Rescheduling
- More than 7 days before the session: free reschedule to the next available slot within 90 days, no fee.
- Within 7 days of the session: reschedule is possible, but 50 % of the deposit is retained as a late-change fee. The remaining 50 % rolls to the new session.
- No-show: the full deposit is forfeited. A new booking (with a new deposit) is required.
Force majeure
Sudden illness with a doctor's note, family bereavement, or an inability to travel due to a declared weather or transport event: the session is rescheduled in full without a fee, regardless of how close to the date. Please write as soon as you can.
Cancellation by Kingofoto
If I need to cancel for any reason — illness on my side, an equipment-failure I cannot recover from, a closure of the studio building — you are offered either a full reschedule or a full refund of the deposit, at your choice.
How to cancel or reschedule
Write to box@kingofoto.dk with the original booking reference. Please do not send cancellations via Instagram or social-media DMs — I may not see them in time.
